by Crystallas on May 26, 2010, 03:05:00 AMThanks to all that have supported FusionDrivers.com over the years. The Ford Fusion is really a great car, and the community has been awesome. Established sites like fordfusionclub is truly deeper in terms of a community, and I have always enjoyed the scene. The bad news, I need to shed some of my bills, and I will be selling this domain and/or full site in the future. | A University study done to see what blend of gasoline
and ethanol can give the best results. The Ford Fusion
showed a 1% increase in fuel economy using E30 over Tier
II(E10 in most areas) gasoline. Before you go off
trying to mix your own E30 into your Fusion, bare in mind
that this study was done with these cars at the disposal
of the University of North Dakota, and not with daily
drivers. You can read more about the study here. [Greencarcongress.com]

| Boeing will power its new UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)
with a Ford Fusion engine. Ford has developed a
multi-stage-turbocharged engine - based on the engine
used in the Ford Fusion - for Boeing's UAV project.
Boeing is looking at a military HALE with a seven-day-plus
endurance and a 2,000-pound payload; Aurora is working on
its single-engine Orion HALL (High Altitude Long Loiter)

| NO-Yota? Consumer Reports has released the latest
Auto reliability reports. The reputable Camry, Tundra and
Lexus GS have skipped off the top rated list. |
 |
| But guess who is there as Consumer
Reports "Best and Worst of 08", yep you guessed
it. CR's 2007 survey also shows that the odds of
getting a reliable new vehicle from Ford are the best CR
has seen in years. Forty-one of 44 Ford, Lincoln, and
Mercury models (93%) in CR's survey scored average or
better in predicted reliability. The Ford Fusion and
Mercury Milan are among the most reliable cars. You

| A Mexican rebel group known as the EPR(Ejército
Popular Revolucionario) or Popular Revolutionary Army,
claimed to be responsible for a series of pipeline bombings in Mexico.
The natural gas pipe-lines that were attacked recently have effected
facilities that Ford uses to build parts and vehicles.
Ford is not alone, as GM, Chrysler, VW and Honda all have
either halted or limited production in Mexico. The Ford
Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Lincoln MKZ are built in
Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico. The facility was estimated to
build over 300,000 vehicles this year, but now may fail
to reach estimates, causing a delay in those waiting for
their 2008 model or even parts. |
